Charlotte is an Audiologist and hearing health advocate who graduated from the University of Manchester in 2013 with a BSc in Neuroscience. She continued her studies at De Montfort University, and obtained her Degree in Hearing Aid Audiology in 2017. She also completed a Hearing Sciences degree at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge 2021.
Charlotte has spent her professional career to date as a skilled Audiologist working for the biggest hearing chains in the UK. She has helped thousands of people hear better by fitting the best hearing technology, conducting tinnitus consultations and performing earwax removals.
She currently performs hearing tests, fits hearing aids, ear protection and earwax removal at Horace Hearing in Harrogate, York and surrounding areas. Charlotte completed the person centered care course for Audiologists under the IDA institute Denmark, she has adopted a person-centered approach when carrying out hearing assessments. The focus is on carrying out comprehensive hearing assessments with a holistic approach, taking into account the client's lifestyle and hearing needs.
This extensive training has given Charlotte a passion for raising awareness on hearing health. She has given talks to health professionals and members of the public at events such as Healthwatch East Sussex 2019, where she discussed how hearing loss contributes to isolation, and took part in the Deafness, Loneliness and Isolation talk in St Leonards later that year. She also supports the National Deaf Children's society in the UK. Outside of work, Charlotte would normally be involved in various philanthropic work.
